Before we provide a formal proposal for your website we first need to define your needs this is critical when planning a phase of any large-scale project. We start by identifying and defining the project's high level goals and constraints. Next we will collaborate with your company to brainstorm ideas and to define the priorities, feature set, and project schedule to achieve the project's goals.
In any website project architecture plays a major role in the projects long term success especially important for large-scale web projects. A sitemap or application flow is created from the requirements and feature set determined from the original definition in the first phase. Detailed wireframes of the main interface areas or site pages are created as a way to visualize organization and prioritization, as well as the functional requirements. The creative direction for the project is presented to the client for feedback and approval. Once a high-level creative direction is approved, visual designs are created based on the previous approvals. At this stage we may develop functional prototypes or conduct usability testing to validate the design.
Development begins once the project's designs are approved. The scope of development is based on the approval from the Definition and Website Architecture phase. For large-scale projects we typically provide at least two working prototypes at different points in the development phase. We consistently conduct unit testing throughout the development process as components of the project are implemented and interfaces are completed. At the completion of the deployment phase, we provide documentation for guiding the evolution and maintenance of the project to the client and we can lead in a training session to ensure a full knowledge transfer.
We employ an iterative design approach to our project development which can be utilized for achieving both short-term and long-term goals for our clients. The iterative design approach provides a collaborative development process that can provide quick recommendations and help our clients prioritize additional features for further project refinements. The analyses of your projects success can easily be monitored by integrating an existing analytics package or create custom reporting schemes to track key project. As part of the post-launch process, custom reports will be generated from the analytics data and will provided to the client for monitoring the success and potential next steps for enhancement.
